Best Homemade Cheesy Scalloped Potatoes Recipe

Sliced potatoes are layered with a creamy cheese sauce, topped with more cheddar cheese then baked until the potatoes are tender and the cheese is golden brown.

Ingredients

Peel and slice potatoes; set aside.

Preheat the oven to 350°. Spray a 2 quart casserole dish or large pie pan with cooking spray.

In a medium sauce pan melt butter over medium heat. Add onions and cook until tender, about 4-5 minutes. Whisk in flour, salt and pepper; cook for 1-2 minutes.

Whisk in milk and heat to a boil, stirring constantly, cook for one minute or until thick and bubbly. Stir in 1 cup of the cheese.
