Ingredients

  • 3 cups hash browns
  • 6 eggs
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 1/2 cups Bisquick
  • 2 cups shredded cheese
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400° and spray a 9" X 13" baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.

  • In a large skillet over medium heat brown the sausage until no pink remains, about 10 minutes. Take off the heat and drain (I find that it isn't really enough fat to drain off so I just use a wad of paper towels to sop up as much as I can). Stir the hash browns in with the sausage. Spread the sausage mixture into the bottom of the prepared baking dish.

  • Top the sausage mixture with one cup of shredded cheese. Whisk eggs, milk and Bisquick together in a large bowl, stir in the maple syrup, salt and pepper. Pour the Bisquick mixture into the casserole dish and top with the remaining one cup of cheese.
6 eggs, 2 cups milk, 1 1/2 cups Bisquick, 2 cups shredded cheese, 1 tbsp maple syrup, 1/2 tsp salt, 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • Bake for 22-27 minutes or until the edges start to turn golden brown and a knife inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Let stand about 5 minutes before serving.
