Ingredients

  • 4 sweet potatoes about 4 ounces each
  • butter
  • your favorite toppings

Instructions

  • If your sweet potatoes aren't ready to cook then scrub them under cold water and dry thoroughly with paper towels.
  • Poke holes in each potato using a fork, a total of about a dozen times per potato.
  • Place potatoes in the air fryer basket in a single layer leaving some space between them. Air fry on 400° for 18-20 minutes. Let cool until they can be handled.
  • Slit each sweet potato lengthwise down the middle with a sharp knife, using your index finger and thumb of both hands pinch the end of the slit and push gently to pop open the potato. Be careful not to burn yourself because the potato is hot and steam will emit from it.
