- 1 cup soy sauce
- 1 cup ketchup
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 teaspoons garlic powder
- 2 teaspoons ground ginger
- 16 pieces top sirloin, approximately 1 1/2" thick cut into 1 1/2" squares about 2 pounds
- 8 chunks of red onion about 1/2 large
- 8 pieces pineapple cut into 1" chunks about 1/2 fresh
- 8 pieces bell pepper about 1/2
- 8 fresh mushrooms about 1/2 pound
- 8 pieces zucchini about 1/2 large
Mix soy sauce, ketchup, sugar, ground ginger, and garlic powder in a medium bowl until combined. Pour half into a large zip top bag, reserve the other half. Place beef chunks in the bag with the marinade, turn to coat beef. Refrigerate overnight.
Remove beef chunks from zip top bag, discard leftover marinade. Thread 4 pieces of meat and 2 pieces of each vegetable onto metal or soaked wooden skewers.
Grill on hot grill until vegetables are tender and meat is cooked through, turning often, 15-20 minutes.
Bring the marinade to a boil in a small saucepan over medium heat, let boil for 1 minute. Remove vegetables and meat from skewers and serve with warm marinade.
