Peel half of the potatoes. Cut all of the potatoes into 1" pieces. Place in a medium to large saucepan and fill with cold water to 1 inch over potatoes. Peel and rough chop garlic and add to the pot with the potatoes.
2 ½ pounds red potatoes, 2 cloves garlic
Bring to a boil over high heat. Reduce heat and boil for 10-12 minutes or until potatoes are fork tender.
Drain and return to the hot pot. Add butter, milk, salt, pepper, and Stella® Asiago cheese and mash with a potato masher until smooth. Top with additional cheese, if desired.
