Crockpot BBQ Cola Pork Chops

Ingredients

  • 6 pork chops
  • ½-1 can of cola
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce
  • ½ cup ketchup
  • cooking spray

Instructions

  • Mix cola, barbecue sauce and ketchup together in a medium bowl.

  • Spray slow cooker with cooking spray or line with plastic liner.

  • Add sauce mixture then add chops, spoon sauce over chops and cook on low 6-8 hours or on high 3-4 hours.

Notes

The Soda Ratio: I’ve made these using both a half-can and a whole can of cola. While the full can gives you a lot of extra sauce, I’ve found that my preferred way is using half a can of soda with 6 pork chops. It creates a more concentrated, flavorful glaze while still providing more than enough liquid to keep the meat juicy.
Adjusting the Serving Size: This recipe is very flexible! While 6 chops is my standard, you can easily scale down to 4 or up to 10 pork chops for a big family gathering.
Pro Tip for Large Batches: If you do decide to pack the slow cooker with 8 to 10 chops, I would suggest sticking with the whole can of soda just to ensure there is plenty of sauce to coat every single piece of meat.
