Cook the pasta al dente according to the package instructions, adding the peas in for the last 3 minutes.
8 ounces noodles, 1 cup frozen peas
Melt the butter in a large skillet, add the onion and cook over medium heat 3-4 minutes or until the onion begins to soften, add the garlic and pepper and cook for a minute.

Add the flour and cook, stirring constantly, for a 1-2 minutes or until the flour is hot and bubbly. Stir in the milk and cook stirring constantly until thickened, about 3-5 minutes.

Stir in the drained tuna and parmesan cheese. Add the cooked pasta and peas, then cook for 2–3 minutes, stirring until heated through.

It takes about 4¼ cups of egg noodles to equal 8 ounces.Bring the water back to a full boil before adding the frozen peas. Otherwise, they'll cool the water down and the pasta may not finish cooking properly.If the sauce is ready first, keep it warm over low heat. If the pasta finishes first, don't worry—it will warm back up quickly when tossed with the hot sauce.
