Ingredients

  • 1 can pizza dough 13.8 oz
  • 3 salami rounds
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp Italian seasoning
  • 3 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400°. Line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper or spray with non-stick cooking spray.
  • Unroll pizza crust and flatten it out. Using a pizza cutter, or sharp knife, cut in half lengthwise and then into equal pieces. You will end up with 22 pieces.
    1 can pizza dough
  • Fold each piece in half lengthwise and pinch it together. Gently stretch it into a long rope shape, then pinch one end to resemble a finger shape.
  • Cut three small lines for knuckles; one set of three just above where you will put the "fingernail" and one set of three about a third of the way from the opposite end of the first slits.
  • Melt butter in a small bowl (I do this in the microwave). Stir in garlic powder and Italian seasoning. Brush onto breadsticks using a pastry brush. Sprinkle with grated cheese.
2 tbsp butter, ½ tsp garlic powder, ½ tsp Italian seasoning, 3 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese
  • Cut salami into eights and place one on the end of each finger, press it down firmly.
    3 salami rounds
  • Bake for 9-11 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Serve with warm marinara or pizza sauce.

Notes

Be sue to pinch the edges together well or the sticks will come apart during baking.
I find the best way to cut the slits for the knuckles is with my sharp kitchen scissors. You can use a very sharp knife.
