These Meatball Sliders with Hawaiian Rolls are an easy, crowd-pleasing recipe that works for an appetizer, game day snack, or a quick and easy weeknight meal. You’ll love how effortlessly they come together — and no one has to know just how simple they are!
Warm the meatballs on a microwave-safe plate for 3–4 minutes, or until heated through.
While the meatballs are warming, heat the sauce in a skillet over medium heat. Add the warm meatballs and stir to coat them in the sauce.
Melt the butter, either in a small saucepan or in the microwave, then stir in the Italian seasoning and garlic powder.
Cut the rolls in half horizontally (without separating them) and place the bottom buns in a 9" x 13" baking pan.
Place 2 meatballs on each roll, spoon a teaspoon (or more!) of sauce over each, then add the top buns.
Brush the tops of the rolls with the seasoned butter mixture, cover the pan tightly with foil. Bake for 11–13 minutes, remove the foil and bake for an additional 2–3 minutes to crisp up the tops slightly.
Notes
When I say a teaspoon of sauce, I mean the kind you eat cereal with—not the official measuring kind. No need to be that precise! We usually end up with a little sauce leftover, and that’s on purpose. These sliders are flavorful without being a saucy mess. But hey, if you're into the extra saucy life, go ahead and use it all. Just grab a napkin (or three). When microwaving the meatballs I cover them with a paper towel. I tuck the edges of the paper towel under the plate on opposite sides or it won't stay (because I have a turntable in mine), so frustrating!Did you make this recipe?
