Texas Toast Garlic Bread

Enjoy buttery Garlic Texas Toast with homemade garlic butter, easy to make in the oven, skillet, or air fryer. Thick slices of Texas toast are slathered with a creamy garlic butter made from garlic powder, butter, and dried herbs. Bake until golden and crispy, cook on the stovetop for a perfect crunch, or air fry for a quick, toasted version. It's a versatile, tasty addition to any meal that's sure to be a hit!

Ingredients

  • 8 thick slices of bread
  • ½ cup butter
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • ½ teaspoon salt

Instructions

Garlic Butter

  • Mix butter, garlic powder, dried parsley and salt together in small bowl.

Butter the bread

  • Butter one side of the bread, place buttered side down onto the sheet pan, air fryer basket, or skillet, then butter the other side. 

Bake

  •  Place buttered bread on a rimmed baking sheet and bake in a 375° oven for about 6-7 minutes on the first side, turn over and bake an additional 4-5 minutes, or until golden brown. When checking for doneness be sure to check the sides of the bread that is face down.

Air Fry

  • Place buttered bread into the air fryer basket in a single layer, air fry at 380° for 4-5 minutes, flip it over and cook another 2-3 minutes until golden brown.

Pan Fry

  • Preheat a large skillet over medium heat, put buttered bread in and cook over medium heat for 2-3 minutes per side. 

Notes

Total time is for the longest option, the oven.
