4 Ingredient Protein Balls

These easy 4 Ingredient Protein Balls are made with oats, peanut butter, mini chocolate chips, and maple syrup or honey. This healthy no bake snack comes together quickly with simple ingredients and is perfect for meal prep, an afternoon snack, or an easy grab-and-go treat.

Ingredients

For peanut butter balls

  • 3 cups quick oats
  • 1 ½ cups peanut butter or one 12 ounce jar of almond butter or cashew butter
  • ½ cup maple syrup
  • ½ cup mini chocolate chips

Instructions

  • Add all of the ingredients to a large mixing bowl and stir until well combined. 
    3 cups quick oats, 1 ½ cups peanut butter, ½ cup maple syrup, ½ cup mini chocolate chips
  • Scoop the mixture into balls and place on a parchment lined rimmed baking sheet so they are easy to transfer to the refrigerator. 
  • Form into balls and refrigerate until cold, then store in an airtight container.

Notes

Honey can be used instead of maple syrup.
This recipe makes about 32–36 balls.
If the mixture won’t hold together, your nut butter may be too dry—add a little more until it sticks.
Crunchy peanut butter can be harder to bind due to larger peanut pieces. If needed, mix in a bit of creamy peanut butter to help the balls hold together.
