Easy One-Pot Chili Mac

This easy One-Pot Chili Mac recipe is just as quick and easy as the popular boxed dinner but a little better for you. Made with simple ingredients like ground beef, elbow macaroni, canned tomatoes, tomato sauce, chili seasoning, water, and milk. The best part? It's ready in about half an hour.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 2 tablespoons chili seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon corn starch
  • 1 can diced tomatoes with peppers, onions, and celery 14.5 ounces
  • 1 can tomato sauce 8 ounces
  • 1 ¾ cups water
  • ¼ cup milk
  • 2 cups macaroni
  • ¼-½ teaspoon salt optional
  • 1 cup cheese

Instructions

  • Mix chili seasoning and corn starch in a small bowl; set aside.
  • Brown ground beef in a large pot or skillet over medium heat stirring occasionally, 8-10 minutes. Drain if necessary.
  • Add tomatoes, tomato sauce, water, milk, and seasoning mixture; stir until combined.
  • Add uncooked pasta and bring to a boil over medium-high heat, lower heat to simmer. Cover and cook 13-16 minutes or until macaroni is tender, stirring occasionally. Add cheese and allow to melt.
  • Let sit 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

You could add a ¼-1/2 teaspoon of salt if you wish. 
If you don't have a large pot or skillet with a lid this can be cooked without it, but it will take longer to cook. Just cook it until the pasta is done to al dente and the liquid is cooked out.
