This homemade pumpkin spice syrup recipe is an easy pumpkin spice coffee syrup made with brown sugar, pumpkin puree, pumpkin pie spice, and vanilla. Add it to coffee or use it as pumpkin spice latte syrup for your favorite fall drinks. It’s also delicious drizzled over pancakes, waffles, ice cream, and other fall desserts.
Whisk water, brown sugar, pumpkin purée, vanilla and pumpkin pie spice together in a small saucepan until well combined.
Bring to a boil over medium-high heat, lower to medium heat and simmer for about 5 minutes, whisking occasionally, until the sugar dissolves and the mixture thickens a bit. Lower heat as necessary to maintain a simmer.
Remove from heat and allow to cool a bit before pouring into an airtight container. You can pour the hot liquid into a heatproof glass jar such as a mason jar.
