All of the ingredients needed to make the Super Easy Taco Pizza recipe.

    Ingredient Notes and Substitutions

    • Pizza Crust: I use Jus-Rol premade crust because it has the perfect texture for this pizza. You’ll usually find it in the refrigerated section of the grocery store.
    • Ground Beef: I go with lean ground beef because it’s better for us and doesn’t require draining. Ground turkey or chicken can be used, just spray the skillet with nonstick spray so it doesn’t stick.
    • Refried Beans: These add great texture, flavor, and a little extra nutrition to the pizza.
    • Cheese: I use cheddar cheese, but you can swap in any variety you like. Pepper jack or Monterey jack cheese would be delicious alternatives.
    • Lettuce: Iceberg lettuce is the classic taco choice, but romaine or mixed greens will make it a bit more elevated.
    • Tomatoes: Roma tomatoes are my go-to, but any type of chopped tomato will work just fine.
    • Salsa: We stick with our favorite store-bought salsa to keep things simple and quick.
    • Seasonings: I season my beef with chili powder, cumin, salt, and black pepper. For a shortcut, you can use a packet of taco seasoning instead.

    Optional Additions

We keep things simple with our favorite taco toppings, but here are some other tasty ideas to mix things up:

    • Sour cream
    • Black olives
    • White, red or green onions
    • Crushed corn or tortilla chips

    • ½ lb ground beef
    • ½ tsp chili powder
    • ¼ tsp cumin
    • ⅛ tsp salt

    Instructions

    • Preheat oven to 425°. Unroll the pizza crust and place on a rimmed baking sheet and par bake for 5 minutes.
      1 Jus-Rol rectangle pizza crust
    • Brown ground beef in a medium skillet over medium heat, about 8-10 minutes. Drain. Season with chili powder, cumin, salt and pepper.
½ lb ground beef, ½ tsp chili powder, ¼ tsp cumin, ⅛ tsp salt, ⅛ tsp pepper
    • Warm beans in a small microwave safe bowl for 1 minute, stirring about halfway.
      1 can refried beans
    • Spread beans onto crust leaving about an inch around the edges, top with ground beef mixture and 1 cup of cheese.
      1 cup shredded cheese
    • Bake for 13-15 minutes, or until crust is done and cheese is melted.
    • Top with lettuce, tomato, remaining cheese and salsa.
1 cup shredded cheese, 1 ½ cups lettuce, 1 cup chopped tomatoes, 1 cup salsa

    Notes

    I use a large baking sheet that’s about 12″ X 18.5″.
Leave the parchment paper under the pizza crust for easier clean-up.
Warming the beans helps them spread better.
