Canned Pillsbury Grands Biscuits in the Air Fryer are great for busy weeknight dinners or a lazy weekend breakfast or brunch. While we love homemade buttermilk biscuits there are just times that we want (or need) to get the meal made quickly.

Premade biscuit dough and air frying is the best way we have found to get this done. We can literally have warm and fluffy biscuits in just minutes! Who doesn’t love that?!

We are pretty loyal to Pillsbury canned biscuits and cinnamon rolls.  I have tried store brands and always come back to Pillsbury brand. You should check out the Cinnamon Roll Breakfast Casserole I make using Pillsbury canned cinnamon rolls. It is an easy recipe your whole family will love.

    Ingredients

A can of Pillsbury grands biscuits sitting on the counter in front of my air fryer.

    Ingredient Notes

You only need two things to make air fryer biscuits!

Pillsbury Biscuits – we use Grands biscuits for this recipe, they are jumbo biscuits and come either 8 or 5 to a can.

Cooking Spray – whatever brand or variety you have on hand. We usually buy the store brand canola spray but will buy olive oil or vegetable oil sometimes.

How to Make This Simple Recipe

    1. Spray the bottom of the air fryer basket with a little cooking spray.
    2. Place biscuits in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
    3. Cook at 330° for 6 minutes, flip over and cook another 2 minutes or until the biscuits are a nice golden brown color.

Different air fryers may not cook the same

You may need to adjust the cooking time or cook at a higher or lower temperature. It took trial and error for us to end up with perfect biscuits in our particular air fryer model. Once you figure out exactly how many minutes of cook time and what temperature is ideal for your air fryer then you can do it that way every time.

    Tips

We do not put parchment paper in the bottom of the air fryer basket because the air needs to circulate all around the biscuits, even underneath.

For best results put the biscuits in the air fryer in a single layer, this doesn’t mean the sides can’t touch each other. We put all 8 biscuits in at one time. The result is still perfectly golden brown biscuits, there may be a spot here and there on the sides of the biscuits that isn’t quite as brown but that is okay with me. This may not be possible, depending on the size of your air fryer, we have a La Gourmet 7.2 quart air fryer.

This recipe is for Grands refrigerated biscuits, if you are making smaller biscuits or frozen biscuits then you will definitely need to adjust the cooking time either down or up a significant amount.

I use a pair of tongs that have a silicone coating on them to turn the biscuits over so I don’t scratch my air fryer.

    Storage & Reheating

Store leftover biscuits in an airtight container, we use a zip top freezer bag. Reheat cooked biscuits in the microwave for 15-30 seconds.

What we love about this air fryer biscuit recipe

    • Canned biscuits are a convenient alternative to homemade biscuits.
    • The air fryer method is quicker than the regular oven method.
    • These biscuits can either be the main part of a meal (I’m thinking biscuits and gravy or bacon, egg and cheese biscuits) or an easy side dish to round out the meal.
    • Or they can even be a quick and satisfying dessert if you top them with melted butter and add cinnamon sugar, jelly or honey. So yummy!

These would be great with bacon gravy, sausage gravy or cream gravy over them too!
