Wondering how long to cook frozen garlic bread in an air fryer? Whether you’re making Texas toast or a full loaf, it only takes about 4–5 minutes at 380°F to get crispy, golden garlic bread. Here’s exactly how to cook it, plus tips for the best results.

Quick answer: frozen garlic bread in air fryer

    • Temperature: 380°F
    • Cook time: 4–5 minutes
    • Texas toast: about 5 minutes
    • Loaf slices: about 4 minutes

Cook until golden brown and heated through.

Why This Air Fryer Garlic Bread Recipe Works

    • It is an easy side dish that is done in no time. Seriously, 4-5 minutes!
    • Air frying is a great shortcut, you can literally have this delicious garlic bread done in less time than it takes the conventional oven to preheat.
    • Taking help from the grocery store is a great way to get dinner on the table quickly. We all need a little help now and then, right?!

    Ingredient Notes

See recipe card for full detailed ingredient measurements.

Garlic Toast: We like New York Bakery Texas Toast garlic bread.

Garlic Bread: We like and Pepperidge Farms French bread loaves.

The brands we use are definitely personal preference, use your favorite brand. Most grocery stores have a more affordable store brand.

Cheesy garlic bread will cook in about the same amount of time.

How to Cook Frozen Texas Toast in Air Fryer

    1. Place garlic toast in the air fryer basket butter side up in a single layer.
    2. Set the temperature to 380° and air fry for 5 minutes, or until golden brown.

How to Cook Frozen Garlic Bread in Air Fryer

    1. Split the loaf down the middle where it is precut. Cut each half into 4 pieces (you can make smaller pieces if you want, but they may cook faster).
    2. Place in the air fryer basket in a single layer, buttery side up.
    3. Set the temperature to 380° and air fry garlic bread for 4 minutes, or until golden brown.

    Tips

    • For best results we take the loaf of garlic bread out of the freezer when we start making the main dish we are going to serve it with. When the whole loaf is frozen it is hard to get apart so letting it sit out at room temperature while we make the main dish will help it come apart easier.
    • We use a butter knife to carefully separate the two halves of the loaf.
    • Check your bread after about 1-2 minutes before you think it might be done. Air fryer temperatures vary and you want to make sure your bread doesn’t get overcooked.
    • This one is really important – subsequent batches of bread will probably have a little bit shorter cook time because the air fryer is already hot. I would start checking 2-3 minutes before you think it might be done.
    • We have a basket-style air fryer and we can fit almost all of the entire loaf in the air fryer. We choose to make 4 slices at a time because it is half of the loaf. If you have the toaster oven-style air fryer you will probably be able to fit all of the loaf at once.

Can I cook New York Bakery Texas toast in the air fryer?

Absolutely! Just place up to 4 slices in the air fryer basket face up and cook at 380° for about 5 minutes.
