These juicy air fryer turkey burgers cook in just 8 minutes, and I don’t even preheat the air fryer. They’re seasoned simply and don’t need egg or breadcrumbs.

Easy Turkey Burgers Without Egg or Breadcrumbs

I was pleasantly surprised when I made turkey burgers in the air fryer and they came out tender and juicy on the first try.

I decided to keep them simple without fillers or binders, and it works!

We eat these air fryer turkey burgers with the same fixins as regular hamburgers. The flavor is perfect.

    Ingredient Notes

See the recipe card below for the exact ingredient amounts.

A pound of ground turkey, onion powder, garlic powder, salt and black pepper to make air fryer turkey burgers.
    • Ground turkey: I use 93/7 ground turkey that comes in a flat package because I like the texture. I haven’t used the kind that comes in a tube.
    • Seasonings: These turkey burger patties are seasoned simply with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. You can use your favorite seasonings.

How to Air Fry Turkey Burgers

Here’s a quick overview of the steps. Scroll or jump down to the recipe card for complete instructions.

Air fry for 8 minutes, turning halfway, or until the burgers reach 165°F in the center.

Tips for Air Fryer Turkey Burgers

    • Work quickly to season and shape the turkey burger patties so the meat doesn’t get too warm.
    • Divide the ground turkey into four equal portions. Each portion should weigh 114 grams.
    • Flatten each patty to about 4 inches across.
    • Spray the air fryer basket with nonstick cooking spray and add the patties. Make an indentation in the center of each patty, then lightly spray the tops with cooking spray.

Storage: These cook so quickly that we make only what we’re going to eat and cook the rest fresh later, so I haven’t tested storing or reheating the cooked burgers.

    How to Serve Turkey Burgers

Serve these turkey burgers on hamburger buns with your favorite burger toppings. We like lettuce, tomato, onion, ketchup, mustard, and mayonnaise.

They’re great with steak fries, onion rings, sweet potatoes, healthy potato salad, or a simple vegetable on the side.
