    Have you ever wanted to make an exotic dish? So you get on the internet and search for recipes.

    All (or most) of the recipes that come up require a laundry list of ingredients, many of which you have never heard of.

    When this happens to me I end up not making the dish at all, usually.

    We are on a budget and I just can’t afford to buy too many ingredients at once, for one dish.

    I will sometimes try to come up with other recipes using these ingredients and I find that I just end up spending more.

    Not really an option, so I just decide to make something else.

    Sesame Ginger Teriyaki Shrimp Stir Fry combines fresh vegetables with shrimp, and Organic Seeds of Change Simmering Sauce for a delicious, quick, easy meal.

    Well not anymore! I just head over to Target and get a package of Seeds of Change® organic Simmer Sauce, a few fresh veggies, a lean protein, and rice or noodles to serve it on.

    So easy and economical – a combination that makes me very happy.

    Seeds of Change® is an organic seeds and foods company that has just launched these ready-made, organic simmer sauces to inspire (and help) us to make tasty meals that are very quick and easy.

    They are also good for us because they are free of artificial colors, flavors, and preservatives.

    Seeds of Change® organic Simmer Sauces come in five flavors:

    This is near and dear to me because Kansas is a big farming state  (I also love eating fresh food!).

    The shrimp I use comes from the fresh seafood section of the meat department at my local grocery store.

    It is deveined and precooked. I just pull the tail off and add it to the dish when I add the sauce.

    So easy!

    Ingredients
      

    • 1 teaspoon olive oil
    • ¼ cup red onion diced
    • ½ cup carrot matchsticks
    • 1 red bell pepper cut into 1"-2" strips
    • 1 ½ cup sugar snap peas
    • 1 medium zucchini cut into half moons
    • 1 pouch Sesame Ginger Teriyaki Simmering Sauce 8 ounces
    • 1 pound cooked shrimp tails removed
    • Sesame seeds for garnish
    Prevent your screen from going dark

    Instructions
     

    • Heat oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium high heat. Add onion, carrots, bell pepper, and peas; cook for 5 minutes. Add zucchini and and continue to cook for another 5 minutes.
    • Reduce heat to medium, add sauce package and shrimp and cook until warmed through, about 5 minutes.
    • Serve over rice or noodles and garnish with sesame seeds, if desired.

      I didn’t realize this brand made simmer sauces! I buy some of their other products, but I haven’t seen the sauces yet. I’ll have to keep an eye out for this.
