Our Canadian Bacon Breakfast Pizza recipe is so easy! This is a simple recipe your whole family will love. I read on the internet that breakfast pizza became popular when Casey’s convenience stores started selling them around 2001.
Casey’s breakfast pizza has either cheese sauce or sausage gravy as the “sauce”. Then you can get virtually any pizza topping on it. We chose to make our “sauce” cream cheese to make it easy and yummy. We wanted our base to be something that was ready to go.

Ingredient Notes:
Pizza Crust – we use store bought to make this easy. I like Jus-Rol.
Canadian Bacon – we love the smoky flavor it gives our pizza.
Cream Cheese – we use the type that is spreadable, not the block. If you use block cream cheese then take it out of the refrigerator in advance so it will be room temperature.
Eggs – we like Eggland’s Best large eggs.
Shredded Cheese – we use a triple cheddar blend. It is Vermont, sharp and mild cheddar. Any shredded cheese will work.
Butter – we like unsalted.
How to Make:
- Heat oven to 350°. Unroll pizza crust and put it on a baking sheet. Cut off the excess parchment paper. Bake pizza crust for 5 minutes. Increase oven temperature to 425°.
- While the crust bakes whisk eggs, water, salt and pepper in medium bowl until well combined. Melt butter in a nonstick skillet over medium-low heat. Add eggs and cook until thickened and no liquid egg remains, stirring often with a heat proof spatula or
- Spread cream cheese over crust, top with eggs, Canadian bacon and shredded cheese.
- Bake 11 – 13 minutes or until Canadian bacon is hot and cheese is melted.
Substitutions & Additions:
Swap the plain cream cheese for flavored cream cheese. Garlic and herb or chive and onion are both great choices.
Top with breakfast sausage crumbles or bacon instead of Canadian bacon.
Add red or green bell peppers, a bit of red onion or green onions. Be sure to cut them into small pieces so they cook in 11 – 13 minutes.
To spice it up a bit add a dash or two of hot sauce to each slice.
