This Homemade Caramel Coffee Creamer is super easy to make, and it’s made with real ingredients you can actually pronounce! Store-bought coffee creamer is convenient, but have you ever looked at the ingredient list? Some of those additives and artificial flavors are hard to recognize. I get it, they need theirs to last a long time, but no worries—our homemade creamer stays fresh in the fridge for a couple of weeks (though it’s so delicious, I can’t imagine that it’ll last that long!).

The other good thing about making your own caramel coffee creamer? You’ll save money while enjoying a rich, creamy flavor that’s even better than the store-bought kind!

    • Tips

I’m a huge coffee drinker and usually enjoy my morning cup of coffee with just a little milk. But sometimes, I want to take my coffee to the next level! While I don’t mind treating myself at my local coffee shop now and then, I love being able to enjoy café-quality drinks at home—on repeat. That’s why I use my own creamer for both hot and iced coffee recipes.

This creamy concoction makes plenty of servings, so I can enjoy every sip without the extra cost! I also make a Pumpkin Spice Creamer that’s so easy, so you’ll want to check that out.

If your looking for an easy recipe for homemade caramel sauce to top your drinks with check out my 4-ingredient recipe that’s super quick and easy (it’s made in the microwave).

See recipe card for exact amounts.

Bottles of heavy cream, milk and caramel syrup and a small bowl with vanilla extract that is needed to make the Homemade Caramel Coffee Creamer recipe.

    Ingredient Notes

    • Heavy Cream: This makes our creamer with thick and rich.
    • Milk: I use whole milk, you can use low-fat milk if that’s what you have on-hand.
    • Caramel Syrup: I use my homemade caramel syrup, to save time you can use store bought, it’s typically on the grocery store aisle with the coffee.
    • Vanilla: I use pure vanilla extract, I have’t used it but it’s my understanding that vanilla flavor works just as well. You can make your own homemade vanilla extract with just vanilla beans and alcohol. Sally’s Baking has an easy recipe (she says to let it sit for 6-12 months, shaking it every week or so).

How to Make Caramel Coffee Creamer

    1. Mix the heavy cream, milk, caramel syrup and vanilla together.
    2. Pour into an airtight container to store in the refrigerator.

    Storage

Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for a couple of weeks, I use a mason jar.

    Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use half and half instead of mixing cream and milk together?

Absolutely! Your creamer will have a slightly thinner consistency (because I use 3 parts milk to 2 parts cream) but will be great while potentially saving money.

Can this be made with dairy free?

Of course! Coconut milk, almond milk, soy milk, oat milk and cashew milk are all great options for the milk. There are plant based creams such as Silk or Country Crock can be used instead of heavy cream. Dairy free half and half can be used instead of non dairy milk and cream.

Can I make this with sugar-free caramel syrup?

Yes! There are several brands that have sugar free options that can be used, such as Torani, Monin, or DaVinci.
