Italian Style Salad features Romaine salad mix, Roma tomatoes, red onion, pepperoncini, Parmesan cheese, and croutons. It is so simple and so flavorful!

I really like salad, and we usually just eat an iceberg blend. But every now and again I like to mix ip up a bit. If I really want to dress up the salad I am serving as an appetizer I will tailor it to the meal we are eating. Just like this Italian Style Salad, we ate it before a pasta dinner and it was just like we were eating out. Well, I had to cook and Lee cleaned up, but the meal had that quality.

Italian Style Salad: Romaine mix, butter, and baby red lettuces, radicchio, Roma tomatoes, red onion, pepperoncini, Parmesan cheese, and croutons.

We love fresh, raw veggies, and salads are the perfect way to eat them. Salads are so healthful, and the possibilities are just about endless.

I served this Italian Style Salad on a large platter, but it would work very well in a large serving bowl as well.

When I am deciding what type of platter or bowl to serve a dish on I take a few things into consideration.

How will the dish look? I even consider clean up and what will take up the most room in the dishwasher.

And, since I am now photographing some of the food we eat, what will make the dish easier to see, or stand out more.

I went with the platter for this one because you can see the salad better, and it takes up less room in the dishwasher.

I dressed this salad with my Olive Garden Creamy Italian Dressing (copycat), and the two paired very nicely together.

Such a great combo before an Italian meal. Eating this before the meal keeps us from over-indulging in pasta and bread, and that is a good thing.

Another great salad I make is this Baby Greens Salad with Beets & Goat Cheese. I dress it with this 3 Ingredient Orange Vinaigrette.
