Love the Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Frappuccino but don’t love spending that much money? This copycat recipe is quick, budget-friendly, and comes together in minutes with simple ingredients.

Homemade Pumpkin Spice Frappuccino
Making a homemade version of a pumpkin spice frappuccino is easier than you think. My version uses instant espresso for bold coffee flavor, plus milk, ice, and a sweet homemade pumpkin sauce that you can also swap with store-bought.
Top it with a swirl of whipped cream and a sprinkle of pumpkin pie spice for the ultimate pumpkin frappuccino. It’s the perfect treat for the fall season and costs a fraction of what you’d pay at the coffee shop.

Ingredient Notes
- Espresso: I like to use instant espresso because it has a bold flavor and dissolves easily. If you don’t have any, regular instant coffee works too—just add more to make it a little stronger.
- Milk: We usually keep whole milk on hand, but you can use whatever you prefer. You can even use your favorite non-dairy milk alternative.
- Pumpkin Sauce: My go-to is a homemade pumpkin sauce made with milk, heavy cream, pumpkin puree, pumpkin pie spice, cinnamon, and vanilla. A store-bought version (like Torani’s seasonal pumpkin sauce) also works perfectly.
- Ice: Cubed ice blends up into the best texture. Shaved or crushed ice tends to break down too much and make the drink watery.
- Garnish: Don’t skip the finishing touch! A swirl of whipped cream and a dusting of pumpkin pie spice or cinnamon makes this pumpkin frappuccino feel like the real Starbucks version.

Frequently Asked Questions
Yes! For a dairy-free version, you can either use dairy-free sweetened condensed milk and cream in a homemade pumpkin sauce, or simply swap in pumpkin syrup. Use your favorite non-dairy milk to complete the frappuccino.
Not really — it has an icee-like texture, so blending in advance would melt the ice and affect the consistency.
This frappuccino is best enjoyed fresh for the perfect texture and flavor.
