Banana Cream Pie Smoothie is a healthy alternative to traditional banana cream pie!

We love a good smoothie! This Banana Cream Pie Smoothie is the first one we have made at home.

The older I get the more I try to eat better, and smoothies make a good alternative to traditional cake, pie or ice cream.

My favorite kind of smoothies are dairy based, so this one is perfect.

I see many more smoothies in our future. There are so many different ways to change these up, the possibilities are nearly endless.

Different flavored yogurt, different fruit, and different types of milk are all great ways to mix and match to make a new and delicious smoothie.

Not to mention other add-ins like chocolate, nuts, and coconut.

So, when my bananas get too brown to eat I either make breakfast cake, pancakes, muffins, cupcakes or cookies.

But now, I cut some of them into slices and put them into individual zip top bags so I have them all cut, measured, and ready in the freezer.

Then all I have to do is throw everything in the blender to have a yummy Banana Cream Pie Smoothie.

I find it easier to make better choices if I have a lot of the prep work done, especially when it comes to snacking and dessert.

If I can get in and out of the kitchen quickly, then I am less likely to run (and by run I mean drive) to the local ice cream shop.

This recipe was adapted from Fitness Magazine.

They call it a weight loss smoothie, and while I don’t think it can make me lose weight, I feel like it is definitely a better choice than many other sweet treats.

Mindy, this looks like something I need to make – even if it won’t “make me lose weight!” 😀 Love the graham cracker garnish.

I am not really a smoothie fan, but this one sounds and looks really creamy and tasty, Mindy.
