Avocado Ranch Deviled Eggs are a modern take on this classic Easter, potluck, and picnic favorite that only require 4 ingredients!

I have always loved deviled eggs. Even as a small child I would devour these little gems. While I like the classic version I decided to make a kinda modern version with these Avocado Ranch Deviled Eggs.

It just seemed to make sense to me since I love ranch dressing and I’m a huge fan of avocados. These are very appealing to kids too because, well, ranch dressing.

This recipe could not be easier! Not only that, you only need four ingredients, and one of those is the eggs.

    Ingredients

    6 hard-boiled eggs

    1 avocado

    2 tablespoons fresh lime juice

1 1/2 tablespoons of ranch dressing, the kind in a bottle

    Salt and pepper, to taste

    Instructions

Peel eggs and cut them in half lengthwise, take the yolks out and put them into a small bowl.

Add the avocado and lime juice. Mash the ingredients together with a fork, stir in ranch dressing, sprinkle with salt and pepper.

Scoop the egg mixture into the eggs.

See below for how to boil perfect eggs that are easy to peel.

To make hard-boiled eggs that are easy to peel:

Put eggs in a saucepan and fill with water about an inch or so over the eggs. Bring to a boil over high heat. Reduce heat to a gentle rolling boil and cook for 13 minutes then place the eggs in an ice bath for 5 minutes. Gently crack the egg a few times on the counter so that most of the shell is cracked.

I researched this and I make them the same way The Pioneer Woman makes hers. The only difference is that she adds her eggs into the water after it boils and I put mine in the water before I boil it.

The time I left them sit in the water for more than 5 minutes, and I mean I left them in for a lot longer than 5 minutes, the shells kinda stuck and the eggs seemed to be water-logged. Not a pleasant experience at all.

I am curious, do you add a dry ranch dressing powder or liquid ranch dressing already made up ??

It is the premade dressing in a bottle. Thank you for asking, I will edit the recipe to specify which kind of dressing!
