This easy Blackberry Baked Oatmeal is made with quick oats, fresh blackberries, Greek yogurt, milk, eggs, and maple syrup. Everything is mixed together in one bowl and baked for an easy make-ahead breakfast.

We eat oats for breakfast about five days a week (avocado toast the other two!). We love them all kinds of ways—stovetop, overnight, and baked.
Baked oatmeal comes together easily in one bowl, and you can change it up with mix-ins like fresh fruit or chocolate chips. It’s great for feeding a family, but it also works well for meal prep if there are only one or two of you.
I usually try to keep my baked oatmeal recipes on the healthier side by using a natural sweetener like maple syrup. But sometimes I make them a little more indulgent, like my Chocolate Chip Baked Oatmeal or Cinnamon Roll Baked Oatmeal.
Why You’ll Love This Recipe
- One-bowl recipe – Everything is mixed together in one bowl before going into the baking dish.
- Easy to make ahead – Bake it ahead and reheat individual servings for breakfast.
- Made with simple ingredients – Oats, eggs, milk, yogurt, maple syrup, and other everyday ingredients.
- Fresh blackberries in every serving – Most are folded into the oatmeal with a few added to the top.
Ingredient Notes
See the recipe card below for the exact ingredient amounts.

- Quick oats: These give our baked oats a more cake-like texture. Old-fashioned oats also work, but they’ll give the baked oatmeal a heartier texture.
- Vanilla Greek yogurt: Adds creaminess and sweetness to the baked oatmeal. Vanilla or blackberry Greek yogurt works best; I use vanilla because blackberry can be hard to find.
- Maple syrup: A natural sweetener. You can substitute an equal amount of honey or granulated sugar.
- Milk: I use Fairlife whole milk to add even more protein, but any milk will work.
- Blackberries: I use fresh blackberries. If using frozen, rinse them briefly to thaw them slightly and remove some of the excess color before adding them. Otherwise, they may turn your baked oatmeal purple.
- Cinnamon & vanilla: These add warmth and flavor to the oatmeal.

- Mix and assemble. Mix all of the ingredients except the blackberries together in a large bowl. Fold in most of the berries, transfer the mixture to a prepared 8-inch baking dish, and top with the remaining blackberries.
- Bake. Bake until the edges are lightly golden brown and the center is set. Let the baked oatmeal rest for about 10 minutes before serving.
Tips for the Best Blackberry Baked Oatmeal
- Let it rest for the full 10 minutes before cutting. That gives it time to set.
- Gently fold in the blackberries so they don’t get completely smashed into the oatmeal.
- Reserve some berries for the top so you get those nice whole berries throughout the finished bake.
- Don’t overbake it. The edges should be lightly golden and a toothpick in the center should come out mostly clean.
How to Serve Baked Oatmeal
Serve blackberry baked oatmeal warm on its own or add a drizzle of maple syrup. You can also top individual servings with Greek yogurt, fresh blackberries, or a splash of milk.
Storage and Reheating
Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
Reheat in the microwave in 30-second intervals until the desired temperature is reached.
