Simple Apple Cinnamon Oatmeal is a quick, easy and healthy breakfast. With just 4 common ingredients it is an extremely nutritious way to start your day.

This Simple Apple Cinnamon Oatmeal is one of our favorite go-to breakfasts.

We eat it often because it is so healthy and quick.

There is also nothing quite as satisfying as a hearty bowl of oatmeal to start the day.

I also love that I can keep the ingredients on-hand.

Apples have a very good shelf life so we buy a bag and use one or two in our oatmeal.

Some apples are pretty small so we use two. We only use one apple if it is large.

I read a great article about the shelf life of apples at shelflifeadvice.com.

You can buy apples and store them in the refrigerator and have them whenever you need them.

Literally any kind of apple will work in this healthy breakfast recipe.

We usually purchase whichever variety is least expensive at the grocery store that particular day.

Some of our favorites are honey crisp, gala, and fuji.

Old fashioned oats work best for this Simple Apple Cinnamon Oatmeal.

I think you need the whole 5 minutes for the apples to cook.

We have also added other fruits into our oatmeal, like canned or fresh peaches and frozen or fresh berries.

I usually leave the cinnamon out when I make it with the berries.

The cinnamon and sugar in this recipe can also be adjusted to your liking.

The way we make it isn’t all that sweet, so if you like yours sweeter then you can add more sugar.

The sweetness of the apples you use also makes a difference.

You could also substitute the sugar for stevia or other artificial sweetener.
