    What Is Big Mac Pizza?

Big Macs are iconic and have the perfect flavor combination of beef, cheese, lettuce, onions, and pickles. But what they’re known for most is that special sauce.

I’ve been on a kick lately to see how many ways I can take those classic Big Mac flavors and turn them into something more than just a burger.

So far I’ve made Big Mac Wraps and Big Mac Smash Tacos, with plans on the horizon for Big Mac Sloppy Joes and a Big Mac Salad.

But let’s talk a little more about this pizza. It’s made with my easy homemade crust, seasoned ground beef, cheese, shredded lettuce, finely diced onions, dill pickle slices, sesame seeds, and my homemade version of Big Mac Sauce.

    Ingredient Notes

See the recipe card below for exact ingredient amounts.

All of the ingredients measured out to make big mac pizza and special sauce.
    • Pizza dough: I use my easy Easy No Knead Pizza Dough for this recipe. You can also use store-bought pizza dough if you want to make this even quicker.
    • Ground beef: We prefer lean ground beef. Be sure to drain off the excess grease if using fattier beef.
    • Toppings: This pizza is topped with cheddar cheese, finely diced onions, shredded lettuce, dill pickle slices, and sesame seeds.
    • Big Mac Sauce: Our homemade sauce is made with mayo, sweet pickle relish, mustard, vinegar, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder.

How Big Mac Pizza Comes Together

This is a quick overview of the main steps to make this recipe. Scroll or jump down to the recipe card below for complete instructions and amounts.

Spread the cheddar cheese on top of the baked pizza.

The onion, lettuce, pickles, and special sauce added to the top of the shredded cheese.

Top the baked pizza with lettuce, onions, dill pickle slices, and Big Mac Sauce.

    Substitutions and Variations

    • Store-bought pizza crust makes this recipe even quicker. A 12–14-inch round or rectangular pizza crust will work. You may need to adjust the baking time.
    • Use ground chicken or turkey instead of ground beef.
    • Chop the pickles up for more even distribution.
    • You can swap the grated cheddar cheese for sliced American cheese for more authentic Big Mac flavor.

    Storage and Reheating

This pizza is best eaten right away after adding the fresh toppings. If you know you’ll have leftovers, store the pizza with the ground beef separately from the cheese, lettuce, onions, pickles, and Big Mac Sauce.

Reheat the pizza and ground beef in the oven or air fryer until warm, then add the cheese and fresh toppings before serving.
