Ingredient Notes
- Brussels Sprouts: We use fresh Brussels sprouts for the best texture and flavor. While frozen can work in some recipes, they won’t roast the same way and aren’t recommended for this method.
- Apple: I’ve used many types of red apples in this recipe. The one in the photos is a Cosmic Crisp, but I regularly use Fuji, Honeycrisp, Red Delicious, or Pink Lady. Basically, whatever looks fresh and crisp at the store.
- Oil:Olive oil adds a nice, rich flavor and is a healthier choice, but canola or vegetable oil will work in a pinch.
- Seasonings: Just a simple mix of salt and pepper lets the natural flavors of the Brussels sprouts and apples shine.

Additional Add-Ins
- Add a yellow onion, cut into chunks, for extra sweetness and depth of flavor.

- Finish with a drizzle of fresh lemon juice, maple syrup, or balsamic vinegar to brighten or sweeten the final flavor—whichever suits your mood!
