M & M’s Hershey Hugs Pretzel Bites feature a Hershey Hug slightly melted on a salty pretzel snap and then topped with an M & M. Perfectly sweet and salty!
I have a confession to make – I made these M & M’s Hershey Hugs Pretzel Bites almost a year ago. These were one of four treats I made to give to my co-workers for Christmas last year. The pictures have been sitting here on my computer.
This past year has been super busy! I returned to work after being off for over two decades with my kids. My actual start date at Walmart Business Services was October 2, 2017. I was an accounts receivable clerk there.
They announced on January 27th that they would be closing that facility and moving the work to Bentonville. I really liked that job and Walmart is a great company to work for but they didn’t have another job similar to that one here in Kansas.
So, because I am not a fan of things being “up in the air” I set out to find another job. It didn’t take long and on March 5, 2018 I started the job I currently have.
I am a billing clerk for a local non-profit agency that provides day and residential services to adults with disabilities. I really enjoy the work.
We also bought a house in Wichita in September. We were living in a suburb south of the city and wanted to move closer to downtown because that is where we both work.
Now our commute is only about 7 minutes one way. We get to carpool together and the drive is much less stressful.
This was the first time we moved while I was working full-time. It went very well and we had our new house completely set up in a couple of weekends.
So about these M & M’s Hershey Hugs Pretzel Bites.
I am probably going to make them again this year to give at work. Most people enjoy getting things for Christmas and these are pretty easy to make.
These little treats are good for nearly any holiday because M & M’s come in every color you can imagine and have versions for every holiday and season. The Hugs could also be replaced with any Hershey Kiss you like.
They are also great for parties because you can get M & M’s in special colors at some candy stores or online at mymms.com. This means that you could get them to match virtually any theme.
I used a large rimmed baking sheet to make these and I put them right next to each other. Doing this allowed me to make a bunch of these in literally 10 minutes.
The most time consuming aspect of making these is taking the Hugs out of the wrappers. I enlisted the help of my husband for this. Okay, so maybe they didn’t all end up on the pan.

Have you ever made these ahead and frozen?
No, I have never done that.
My kids and I made these this following weekend and yep they didn’t last more than a few minutes.
That’s what happens at my house too!
