All of the ingredients needed to make the Pumpkin Spice Creamer recipe.

    Ingredient Notes

    • Dairy: I like using equal parts heavy cream and whole milk since that’s what I usually have on hand, but you can swap in half & half for convenience. See FAQ section below for how to make this dairy free.
    • Pumpkin: Make sure you grab real pumpkin puree and not pumpkin pie filling (sometimes labeled “pumpkin pie mix”), which already has sugar and spices added. You’ll likely have some leftover pumpkin, so check out these pumpkin dessert recipes for tasty ways to use it up.
    • Maple Syrup: Sweeten your creamer with pure maple syrup for the best flavor.
    • Vanilla: I use pure vanilla extract, but vanilla flavoring will also work if that’s what you have in your pantry.
    • Spices: We like the blend of cinnamon and pumpkin pie spice, but feel free to use just one or the other.

How to Make Homemade Pumpkin Spice Coffee Creamer

Here’s a quick look at the steps—be sure to check out the recipe card below for the full ingredients list with amounts and detailed instructions.

All of the ingredients added to a large mason jar before being whisked together.

Add all of the ingredients to a jar or mixing bowl.

The ingredients in the jar after being whisked together.

Whisk until everything is smooth and well combined. If using a bowl, transfer creamer to a jar or other airtight container for storage.

    Storage

Store your homemade coffee creamer in a covered container in the refrigerator for up to a week. Give it a good shake before using, as the spices and pumpkin can settle.

    Pro Tip

Store your homemade creamer in a mason jar to help retain freshness and make it easy to shake before each use.

    Frequently Asked Questions

    Can this be made dairy-free?

Yes! Just use your favorite non-dairy milk and cream, or replace the milk and cream with a dairy-free half & half alternative. You can also use almond, oat, soy, cashew, or coconut milk and skip the cream altogether, just keep in mind your creamer will be thinner. Still delicious, though!

Can this be made sugar-free or low sugar?

Absolutely. Simply swap the maple syrup for your favorite sugar substitute to fit your preferences.

    Notes

This recipe make about 2 ½ cups or 40 tablespoons.
Some pumpkin spice creamer recipes call for cooking the mixture to help the spices bloom and mellow the pumpkin flavor. I prefer the fresh taste (and quicker prep) of a no-cook version. If you’d like to try the cooked method, simply simmer everything together over low heat for about 5 minutes, watching closely since dairy can boil over quickly. Let it cool completely before refrigerating, and be sure it’s fully cooled if you plan to store it in a regular glass jar to avoid cracking.
