These Crispy Air Fryer Ravioli are made without breading or breadcrumbs and are ready in about 10 minutes. There’s no need to boil the ravioli first—just toss refrigerated ravioli with olive oil, seasonings, and Parmesan cheese, then pop them into the air fryer.
They come out crispy around the edges with a warm, cheesy center, making them an easy appetizer or snack for game day, movie night, or anytime you want something quick and savory.

Ingredient Notes
See recipe card for full recipe and exact amounts.

Just a handful of simple ingredients are all you need to make this easy recipe.
- Ravioli: We prefer cheese ravioli but you can use your favorite kind.
- Olive Oil: I love olive oil in this recipe but you could use any high-heat oil such as avocado oil, vegetable oil, or canola oil. There is a great article here that gives the smoke point of various oils.
- Italian Seasoning: Gives our toasted ravioli great flavor.
- Salt: I like the saltiness this adds, you can leave it out if you don’t want the added sodium.
- Parmesan Cheese: I like to use freshly grated cheese because it is a great way to add toasty cheesy goodness to your ravioli. Pre-shredded cheese is also a good option.
- dipping Sauce: We usually use pizza sauce for dipping, see some other suggestions below.
Can I Air Fry Ravioli Instead of Boiling It?
Yes, you can air fry ravioli instead of boiling it. Refrigerated ravioli can go straight into the air fryer without being cooked first. It gets crispy around the edges while the filling stays warm and soft.
How to Make Air Fryer Ravioli Without Breading
- Mix the oil, Italian seasoning and salt in a large bowl. Add the ravioli into the oil mixture and toss to evenly coat the ravioli with the seasoned oil.
- Add the cheese and toss to coat as evenly as possible.
- Place ravioli into the air fryer basket and air fry at 380° for 3 minutes, shake and cook an additional 3 minutes or until crispy and golden brown.

Tips for Making Air Fryer Ravioli Without Breading
- I use refrigerated ravioli, if using frozen ravioli they will need to be thawed first.
- When you air fry ravioli without bread crumbs they are crispy on the edges and soft in the middle where the filling is. If you want them to be crispier, more like pasta chips, you will need to increase the cook time a couple of minutes.
- As you can see in the photo my ravioli are mostly in a single layer but do overlap a little here and there.
- Since air fryers cook differently I recommend checking the ravioli after 2-3 minutes before shaking them, then adjust the cooking time up or down if necessary.
Dipping Sauce Ideas
- marinara sauce
- Alfredo sauce
- pizza sauce
- pesto
- cheese sauce
- Ranch dressing
- creamy garlic sauce or aioli
Storage and Reheating
I recommend making these fresh because it is so quick and easy. That being said, if you have leftover fried ravioli store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator for a few days. They can be warmed in the microwave for a few seconds or in the air fryer in about 3-4 minutes.
Frequently Asked Questions
Yes. Ravioli can be air fried without breading or breadcrumbs. Tossing the ravioli with seasoned oil and Parmesan helps the outside become golden brown and crispy while the filling stays soft and warm.
I cook refrigerated ravioli at 380°F for about 6 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through. Air fryers vary, so check them after the first 3 minutes and adjust the cooking time as needed.
