What do you put on an Easter charcuterie board?
There are a few different options when it comes to making and Easter board. Consider the occasion when deciding what to include on your particular board.
If you want an appetizer tray for before an Easter breakfast or afternoon Easter meal a traditional charcuterie board is appropriate. Select a variety of meats, hard and soft cheeses, nuts, fresh vegetables and fresh fruit.
For after Easter dinner consider an Easter dessert board with sweet treats. Small cakes, cookies, bars, hot cross buns and hand pies are all great options.
If you are hosting an Easter party then a candy board is perfect. Look for candy in pastel colors, chocolate eggs, small chocolate bunnies, or a large chocolate bunny.
Supplies needed to make a fun easter charcuterie board
- A large platter, wooden board, plastic tray or sheet pan are all great to use for serving.
- Small bowls in different shapes, sizes and colors work well to hold small candies, nuts, and fruits.
- Other fun items such as cookie cutters or small pots also make great pieces to hold small treats on themed charcuterie boards.
How to arrange items on your board
There really is no wrong way to place the items on your charcuterie platter.
I start by placing the small dishes and other containers on the board, platter or tray.
Then I start at the top and place items on the board working my way down. If your board is going to have a centerpiece you will want to place it on the board first and then add other items around it.
Move things around as needed and use smaller items to fill in any empty spaces.
Keep leftovers handy so you can replenish the board if needed.
